Kaarin believes creating a genuine connection with each individual can assist with building a safe space together. “My goal is to build a relationship with you, from which you feel safe to express your thoughts, investigate your feelings and actions, and consider future possibilities.”
Kaarin takes a calm and patient approach to meeting with, listening to, and assisting each client as an individual. She has experience and training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
She enjoys keeping mindfulness, self-compassion, acceptance and respect as foundational aspects of her work.
Kaarin has worked supporting individuals with depression, anxiety, substance use issues, adjustment to illness and life transitions. Kaarin has special training in working with older adults.
She earned her Masters in Social Work from the University of Michigan.
