Em Roll, MA, LLPC
Em's goal as a therapist is to create a space where clients can feel safe, learn to trust, and take risks; working towards where they'd like to be while gaining a better understanding of where they are right now.
"As a highly sensitive person myself," Em says, "I understand the importance of feeling comfortable enough to be able to express yourself. You deserve to live a life you can enjoy, to feel loved in your close relationships, and to feel a sense of belonging."
Em's therapeutic method centers around developing a tolerance for life's constant uncertainty instead of resisting it. The aim is to build supportive spaces where self-awareness can expand and clients can discover new ways to engage with their emotions through both traditional talk therapy and other, more exploratory techniques.
Em's approach offers the opportunity to explore changes using different mediums: mindfulness, drama therapy, and other expressive arts techniques.
Em has a Master’s in Drama Therapy from Concordia University in Montreal, QC and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Eastern Michigan University.
