Virginia has a passion for helping individuals explore experiences that emerge in adulthood, particularly in the second half of life. Through more than 30 years of work with adults, she has developed a steadfast commitment to supporting women, herself included, through the complex challenges of adulthood and aging. “I believe that a strong sense of self enhances women’s lives as individuals, partners, mothers, caregivers, and family members.” Virginia will join with you in looking at your thoughts, feelings, and actions so that your everyday expressions reflect your own personal value system. An emerging area of her practice is work with trans-women. Throughout her social work career, access to care and service to culturally diverse clients have been authentic expressions of her values. Virginia holds a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Michigan and a Master of Social Work from Eastern Michigan University.
