Nicola believes in the resilience and strength of all people. “Finding a safe place for healing and self-exploration is important not only for self-care, but for building a more just, kind, and inclusive world.”
Nicola’s work with clients often focuses on addressing trauma and loss/grief, clarifying values, finding meaning and purpose, and increasing a sense of belonging. She is also interested in family expansion — especially among LGBTQIA2+ people — including the transition to parenthood, and infertility and pregnancy and adoption challenges.
Nicola is committed to the ongoing work of being culturally-responsive, anti-racist, LGBTQIA2+ affirming, and kink- and polyamory-aware.
She received her PhD from the University of Michigan (Personality Psychology and Women’s Studies) and her Masters of Counseling from Palo Alto University.
