psychotherapist-Meryl-Schwartz

Meryl partners with clients to expand self-insight and self-compassion. She believes that better understanding our thoughts, feelings and actions – and their root causes – can spark positive change over time.

“But client growth is always grounded in a safe and trusting therapeutic partnership,” she says, “I believe that the experience of therapy should feel nourishing, even if the session content may be heavy.”

Meryl seeks to create genuine connection with each client through curiosity, openness, and inhabiting the belief that clients are ultimately the experts in their own lives.

Meryl’s work most often addresses attachment trauma, infertility and caregiving, the impact of systemic inequity, and grief and loss.

She also works with young adults feeling overwhelmed and alone amid personal and professional transitions.

Meryl earned her Masters of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan.
